Growing Up With NG.CASH
By 2030, Gen Z is expected to account for one-third of Brazil’s GDP, and NG.CASH is building a financial platform for these users.
When we first met Mario Augusto Sá, NG.CASH’s co-founder and CEO, we were struck by how intuitively he understands this generation. He has spent his career building for them.
Before NG.CASH, Mario helped create one of Brazil’s largest YouTube channels, reaching 20 million subscribers. He later turned that distribution experience toward financial products.
NG.CASH started by solving a basic but important problem: Pix has transformed how Brazilians move money, but younger users, especially minors, have often struggled to open accounts in their own names. NG.CASH gives them access to Pix, a customizable prepaid Mastercard, and savings tools, all through an experience designed to feel like their own.
The company has grown to millions of customers while acquiring new active users for less than US$4. Traditional fintechs and banks have struggled to replicate this type of customer acquisition cost (CAC) efficiency. They leave younger users almost completely underserved, without the products, design, creator partnerships, and content that appeal to them.
And the relationship with users becomes more valuable as they age. NG.CASH is expanding from payments into products for Brazil’s young, digital-first workforce. This year, the company launched Crédito CLT, which offers payroll-deductible loans to private-sector workers, and Pix Crédito, which allows customers to pay for purchases in installments through Pix. These are early steps toward a much broader financial platform.
Crypto is also an important part of what comes next. Brazil is already the largest crypto market in Latin America and ranks fifth globally for adoption. Brazilian users received nearly $319 billion in crypto between July 2024 and June 2025, more than double the prior-year total. More than 90% of that activity involved stablecoins.
The demand is there, but using stablecoins and other onchain products is still too complicated for most. NG.CASH can change that by bringing these products into an app its customers already know and trust.
Brazil’s regulatory environment makes this opportunity especially timely. NG.CASH is authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil as a payment institution, and the company has acquired a direct credit license. As Brazil establishes clearer rules for digital assets and stablecoins, regulated platforms with trusted brands and existing distribution will be in the best position to scale these products.
This is also why the partnership with BCAP matters. We have spent more than a decade investing across stablecoins, tokenization, payments, and DeFi. We look forward to helping NG.CASH find the right partners, navigate the evolving market, and turn crypto infrastructure into products that are a value-add for users.
The opportunity extends beyond Brazil. Latin America is young, mobile-first, and still underserved by traditional financial institutions. The same generation that skipped branches and went straight to mobile banking may now move directly into onchain finance.
We believe NG.CASH can become the financial platform that young Brazilians start with and continue using into adulthood, and then bring that model to the rest of Latin America.
Today, we are excited to announce BCAP’s $15 million investment in NG.CASH. Mario and his team have already built a strong following among millions of young customers. We’re proud to support them as they build the future of money in Latin America.
